I enjoyed class last week and found it to be to my liking. There are categories in which art can be placed in. There is abstract, non-representational, and iconography. I prefer the one that is non-representational. Sometimes you can see whats not there. It all depends on how you look at it. The painting with the black paint strokes( can't remember the artist), to me it looks like a fence that has worn down-you can see the fence extending in the distance as well as land. Also I see a pile of wood that could be broken parts of the fence. The picture in the text book on page 509 fig. 701....reminds me of the Partridge Family even thought it represents nothing!
